Description

Peter Harms from the University of Alabama examines the idea that leadership is shaped not only by who leaders are, but by where they are. Drawing from insights in The Place Makes the People and related research, the analysis explores how physical and social environments influence leadership development, decision making, and collaboration.

Key themes include:

  • How leaders evolve over time within different organizational contexts.
  • The role of place in shaping behaviors, attitudes, and leadership styles.
  • Practical strategies to create environments that foster leadership growth in your classroom.

The framework offers valuable insight for leaders, HR professionals, and anyone seeking to strengthen workplace dynamics and organizational culture.
