We take a 3-prong approach to graphing that ladders up Blooms Taxonomy levels of learning.

ADAPTIVE ECON PREP

Not all students start a principles course with the same math, graphing and terminology skills. That’s why we offer the only truly adaptive econ prep in the industry as the 1st level of graphing.

GAIN KNOWLEDGE,
BUILD UNDERSTANDING.

GRAPHING EXERCISES

The 2nd level of our graphing allows students to go beyond the basics and apply and practice what they now know.

INTERACTIVE GRAPHS

The 3rd level of our graphing helps students visualize, analyze and interpret economic concepts, graphs, and data by providing visual displays for them to manipulate.

Application-Based Activities

ABAs are economics simulations that give students an immersive experience in course content. Each ABA is developed to drive a deeper level of content understanding. Students practice their economic thinking and problem-solving skills as they apply course concepts to real-life scenarios and see the implications of their decisions as they go. The tool also provides specific feedback based upon student responses for support when it matters most. Each activity is designed as a 15-minute experience.

Connect the Dots Videos

Connect the Dots are short, succinct videos that help bridge student’s gap in understanding for the most challenging course concepts. All videos include closed captioning and are assignable with assessment questions for improved retention. (Available for all of our Principles of Economics and Survey of Economics titles except Connect Master and Frank. For videos unique to those products, please click the next two tabs.)

Connect Master Videos

Connect Master: Principles of Economics has over 260 engaging, professionally produced 2-4 minute topical videos featuring the authors Carlos Asarta and Roger Butters along with animations and graphs. All videos are available in English and Spanish.

New for Summer 2023: 800+ Worked Example Videos feature diverse group of experienced economics instructors walking students through problems are being added to the adapted learning experience and the eBook.

Frank Series

Our Frank titles offer three unique video series.

  • Learning Glass videos (left) provide tutorials for topics where students tend to struggle.
  • Economic Naturalist videos (right) bring economics to life by showing interesting applications of economic concepts.
  • Worked Problem videos (bottom) work through end-of-chapter problems to aid in student understanding of core economic concepts and offer assistance with more challenging material.

Proctorio

Remote proctoring and browser locking capabilities are now seamlessly integrated within Connect to offer more control over the integrity of online assessments. Instructors can enable security options that restrict browser activity, monitor student behavior, and verify the identity of each student. Instant and detailed reporting gives instructors an at-a-glance view of potential academic integrity concerns, avoiding personal bias and supporting evidence-based claims.
