McGraw Hill attends the American Taxation Association Midyear Meeting
In late-February, the American Taxation Association hosted their midyear meeting in Nashville, TN. McGraw Hill had the honor of being a sponsor for the event and one of the two exhibitors during the conference.
In attendance were many of our authors, subject matter experts, contributors, and users. The meeting this year was much more ‘business as usual’ compared to last year when the uncertainty of tax changes, that later materialized as The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, loomed.
McGraw Hill updated their digital and print content to reflect the OBBBA changes for the Fall 2025 term and there was a resounding message of appreciation for those updates throughout the meeting at the exhibitor hall.
Key takeaways from the event include:
- Universities will need to continue teaching the technical and human skills, but the information technology and AI skills will need a bigger emphasis going forward.
- Hiring and recruiting for tax seems to still be strong nationally, and there is optimism around the tax accounting pipeline.
