Supporting Educators is our Passion
With so many resources available for an instructor, what can McGraw Hill do to help you select the best assets that will benefit your course?
One constant I have admired throughout the past 17 years is the expertise and knowledge of the passionate educator. Today’s educator views teaching as more than just a profession, job, or career. They want to make a difference—and that is what is so inspiring. In my opinion, each of these educators is a true hero. They are challenged to navigate their institutional constraints, maximize available resources, and captivate their students’ imagination and desire.
As an education company, we provide print textbooks, e-books, cadaver dissection software, virtual laboratory simulations, electronic health record simulations, and new products like Connect® Master. With so many resources available for an instructor, what can McGraw Hill do to help you select the best assets that will benefit your course?
Throughout the upcoming weeks, I will highlight elements of a program we call Support at Every Step. McGraw Hill has created this website supportateverystep.com to provide information ranging from accessibility, tech support, platform stats, peer support, courseware consultation, and faculty development to you, the educator.
When you adopt one of our Life Science or Health Professions titles, you will gain complimentary access to our instructor resources. Here you will find a range of assets, including:
PowerPoint files with images, outlines or images only
Animations and/or videos
Test bank
Captioned animations
Accessible PowerPoint files
Instructor manuals
Correlations to applicable national curriculum standards like ABHES, CAAHEP, HAPS, ASM, etc.
Concept mapping, Minute Papers, Guided Collaborative Learning Activities, etc.
Digital implementation guides
Flex Art, Labelled Art, Base Art
Teaching tips (i.e. Active Learning videos like this one: https://www.viddler.com/embed/d48d5651)
Sample Syllabi
Game Show PowerPoints
Answers to textbook questions or laboratory manual resources
The goal of these resources is to support you and your faculty in your efforts to make each course the best it can be. The amount of supporting resources may vary in each course, based on instructor needs. For example, some of our groups like Anatomy & Physiology may have additional visual support. We prioritize our development resources accordingly. If you see gaps or have a wish list for items, let us know (email james.connely@mheducation.com)!
Below are some visual examples to highlight...
