Temple ISD Grade 4 and Grade 5 students achieved high passing rates on TAKS math tests after adopting McGraw Hill Everyday Mathematics.
84% of Grade 4 students, 86% of Grade 5 students, and 78% of Grade 6 students in Temple Independent School District met Texas mathematics standards on the TAKS assessment after the district adopted Everyday Mathematics, with a growing percentage of students entering Algebra I before high school. Temple Independent School District, which serves approximately 8,000 students in central Texas, was the first public school district in the state to adopt Everyday Mathematics, introducing it through a phased implementation beginning in Grades K–2 and supporting teachers with ongoing professional development and regular instructional training.
