Description

Reveal Math is a K–12 mathematics program designed to foster deep understanding through research-based practices. The program emphasizes rigor by promoting conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and real-world applications through inquiry-based exploration and problem-solving tasks. Learning targets are presented as "I can" statements, enabling students to reflect on their progress and guiding formative assessments. Formative assessment is embedded throughout lessons, providing actionable data for differentiation and addressing skills gaps. Rich tasks encourage students to engage deeply with mathematics, offering multiple solution paths and promoting high cognitive demand. Productive struggle is supported through challenging tasks and purposeful questioning, helping students persevere and own their learning. Mathematical discourse is emphasized, allowing students to articulate their ideas, evaluate peers' reasoning, and collaboratively construct knowledge. Collaborative learning activities, such as group problem-solving, enhance engagement and understanding by leveraging diverse perspectives. Misconceptions and error analysis are integral to the program, with teachers equipped to anticipate and address common errors, fostering a mistake-friendly environment that promotes deeper learning.
