Raising Mathematics Performance in Citrus County Schools

After adopting Everyday Mathematics, Citrus County School District saw mathematics achievement rise across the district: 79% of Grade 3 students and 75% of Grade 4 students met Florida's mathematics standards, outperforming state averages and marking gains of 14 and 19 percentage points, respectively. The district, which serves approximately 16,500 students, adopted the program to establish a consistent, districtwide elementary mathematics curriculum focused on conceptual understanding, problem solving, and readiness skills, supported by comprehensive teacher professional development, curriculum alignment, and collaboration across elementary and middle school educators.
