New York City Students Thrive with Everyday Mathematics®

81.8% of students in Grades 3–8 met or exceeded New York state mathematics standards after New York City Public Schools adopted Everyday Mathematics, with Grade 4 proficiency rising from 52% to 84.9% and the achievement gap between New York City and the rest of the state narrowing significantly across elementary grades. New York City Public Schools, the nation's largest school district with more than 1.1 million students, implemented the program as part of a broader instructional reform initiative to establish a consistent elementary mathematics curriculum and close performance gaps districtwide.
