More Oklahoma Students Scoring Advanced in Math with Everyday Mathematics®

Grade 5 mathematics proficiency in Norman Public Schools rose from 83% to 97% after the district adopted Everyday Mathematics, with the share of students scoring at the Advanced level more than doubling from 24% to 51%; special education students also showed substantial improvement, reinforcing the program's effectiveness across diverse learners. Norman Public Schools, one of Oklahoma's highest-performing districts with nearly 14,000 students, adopted the program for Grades 1–5 before expanding it to Kindergarten through Grade 5, pairing implementation with ongoing staff development and research-based instructional practices focused on building strong mathematical foundations.
