Wingate Elementary School math proficiency rose substantially on North Carolina state tests after implementing McGraw Hill Everyday Mathematics.
Mathematics proficiency at Wingate Elementary School rose from 51% to 80% in Grade 3, from 58% to 95% in Grade 4, and from 65% to 97% in Grade 5 after the school adopted Everyday Mathematics. Wingate Elementary, which serves approximately 750 students in Union County Public Schools, adopted the program as part of a comprehensive effort to raise achievement and align instruction with North Carolina standards, strengthening implementation by increasing mathematics instructional time and providing consistent planning and support for teachers.
