Lexington-Richland School District 5 Adopts Everyday Mathematics

The percentage of Grade 3 students scoring at the Advanced level on the PACT mathematics assessment more than doubled — from 15% to 32% — after Lexington-Richland School District 5 adopted Everyday Mathematics, while Grade 5 students scoring Advanced rose from 11% to 28%. Lexington-Richland School District 5, one of South Carolina's highest-performing districts, serving approximately 6,900 elementary students in rapidly growing suburban communities near Columbia, adopted the program after finding its previous mathematics curriculum did not meet instructional needs, supporting implementation with extensive professional development, mentor teachers, workshops, and parent resources to help families understand the curriculum.
