Kentucky Students In Daviess County Double Math Scores with Everyday Mathematics®

Schools that adopted Everyday Mathematics in Daviess County Public Schools saw dramatic gains: at Sorgho Elementary, the share of students scoring Proficient or Distinguished in mathematics rose from 39% to 87% in a single year, while Whitesville Elementary improved from 33% to 73%. Both schools later earned National Blue Ribbon recognition, reflecting sustained excellence in student performance. Daviess County Public Schools, which serves approximately 10,840 students, implemented the program across many of its elementary schools to strengthen critical thinking and establish a consistent approach to mathematics instruction, emphasizing multiple problem-solving strategies and conceptual understanding.
