Michigan City Area Schools saw Grade 6 ISTEP+ math proficiency increase after implementing McGraw Hill Everyday Mathematics districtwide
Grade 6 ISTEP+ mathematics proficiency rose from 52% to 73% after Michigan City Area Schools adopted Everyday Mathematics districtwide, and every student subgroup met Adequate Yearly Progress in mathematics. Michigan City Area Schools serves a community of approximately 33,000 residents in northwest Indiana and educates a diverse student population with significant socioeconomic needs, adopting the program for Grades K–6 following a successful pilot and pairing implementation with comprehensive professional development and ongoing teacher support.
