85% of Grade 3 students and 78% of Grade 5 students in Virginia Beach City Public Schools passed Virginia's Standards of Learning mathematics assessment after the district adopted Everyday Mathematics, outperforming statewide averages. Virginia Beach City Public Schools, Virginia's second-largest school district with approximately 75,000 students, selected the program as part of a comprehensive K–12 mathematics improvement initiative, pairing implementation with extensive professional development, teacher leadership, curriculum alignment to state standards, and parent outreach.
