Grounded in the framework of Radical Belonging, we’ll explore how psychological safety, competence, relatedness, and autonomy create learning environments where students and faculty can truly thrive. Participants will examine the power of “Real Talk” pedagogy, the limits of rigor without relationship, and how to use AI intentionally leveraging technology for efficiency while protecting the slow, relational work only humans can do. We’ll also explore approaches to assessment that prioritize growth, support, and student voice over compliance and surveillance.
