Since 1987, Dave Ulrich has led the HR Competency Study, tracking the evolution of the competencies required by HR professionals over time. In 2021, Patrick Wright from the University of South Carolina co-led this study and discusses the major findings regarding the HR Competencies that students need to develop to drive personal and organizational success, as well as the characteristics of HR departments related to organizational performance.
