Nicole Hendrix
Nicole Hendrix is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at Radford University, where she teaches introduction to criminal justice, among other courses. Dr. Hendrix completed her undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, where her love of exploring crime and justice grew from several projects that emphasized academic and applied research. Dr. Hendrix went on to earn her PhD in Criminal Justice from the University at Albany-SUNY, where she worked on numerous research projects, including the Rochester Youth Development Study. Much of her work reflects her belief that building bridges between academia and professional criminal justice results in the best outcomes for communities.
James Inciardi
James A. Inciardi (1939-2009) was the director of the Center for Drug and Alcohol Studies at the University of Delaware, a professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware, an adjunct professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and a guest professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
