Bob Jacobs is a highly regarded Professor Emeritus of Operations Management at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University – Bloomington, where he served from 1982 to 2014. With a diverse academic background, including degrees in Industrial Engineering, Computer and Information Science, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Operations Management, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the fields of Production and Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, and more.

As the author of three widely used Operations Management textbooks, including Operations and Supply Management and The Core the has made significant contributions to the academic community. Professor Jacobs has authored over 50 research articles and holds the esteemed position of fellow and past president of the Decision Sciences Institute.
