ALEKS Adventure - Onboarding Narrative
Understand the ALEKS Adventure onboarding narrative that introduces students to the learning experience.
This article walks students through the Onboarding Narrative that loads when they launch ALEKS Adventure for the first time.
The Onboarding Narrative begins automatically the first time the student logs into ALEKS® Adventure™. It's a combination of slides and narration that the student navigates through to experience the world framing the topics. It includes the initial introduction to Digit, who guides students through the topics, and shows Digit meeting up with student characters, guiding them to the Initial Knowledge Check, and helping them build their ship.
If the student leaves ALEKS Adventure during the Onboarding Narrative and then launches ALEKS Adventure again, selecting Start on the ALEKS Adventure Start page restarts the onboarding narrative. However, if the student has progressed through the Onboarding Narrative to the Initial Knowledge Check but doesn’t finish the Initial Knowledge Check before leaving ALEKS Adventure, when they resume their session and return to the Initial Knowledge Check portion, any questions they answered previously remain answered and do not need to be re-answered.
The students will first be prompted to create their character.
Then they will meet Digit the Dog.
Next, the student will complete their Initial Knowledge Check.
Finally, they will create their ship.
After their ship has been made, they will land on the ALEKS Adventure Homepage.
