Literacy with Boost is an additional product that is designed to target the unique needs of our diverse learners. Although teachers are able to utilize our various scaffolding options in our standard product, Boost is an add-on that's tailored more specifically to student needs.
Boost is appropriate for struggling readers and gives them access to scaffolded and intensive instruction around phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension in grades PreK through 12. Add-on provides a combination of differentiated instruction, effective learning scaffolds, and targeted instructional frameworks to accelerate reading gains for struggling readers and students in intervention or special education programs.
Paragraph frames (Available in the Write Step and added by support or District Administrator)
Sentence frames (Available in the poll-type questions in the Ready step but not the open-ended questions. Needs added by support or District Administrator)
One unit per month, focusing on phonics and language development
Includes reading summaries, academic songs, phonics scaffolding, vocab flashcards.
Sci and SS focused.
One set for Elementary, another for Secondary. 10 units for each level.
Includes Teacher’s Guide.
Fluency (2-12)
Read-aloud lessons.
Includes oral reading rubrics and fluency logs + fluency assessment tool.
When teachers first create their Achieve3000 Literacy class and launch the class, if the add-on has been purchased by the school/district, they will be prompted to select Literacy MS Boost or Literacy MS Literacy.
Literacy MS Literacy is the base product offered to all Achieve3000 users.
Note: Teachers are unable to change the select product within Achieve3000 once a selection has been made for the class. If you're needing to change the Product, you can create a new class or contact support for further assistance.
