What Has Happened
ALEKS Adventure was launched for Grade 3 for back-to-school 2025.
For Reveal Math copyrights that include Grade 3, and for which ALEKS has been integrated with Reveal Math in Open Learning (SC and CA), we will be updating the back-end course mapping to associate Grade 3 Reveal Math courses to Grade 3 ALEKS Adventure instead of Grade 3ALEKS.
This change took place on September 2, 2025.
How This Impacts Students and Teachers
New Classes
Reveal Math Grade 3 classes created after September 2, 2025 will be automatically associated with Grade 3 ALEKS Adventure.
There is no work for teachers or admins to do, and students will work in Grade 3 ALEKS Adventure beginning with their Initial Knowledge Check.
Existing Classes with No Student Usage
Reveal Math Grade 3 classes created prior to September 2, 2025, in which there is no student usage, will remain associated with Grade 3 ALEKS unless the class details are edited (e.g., class name, subject, grade level, start/end date).
After a class edit, the Grade 3 class will be associated with Grade 3 ALEKS Adventure, and students will work in Grade 3 ALEKS Adventure beginning with their Initial Knowledge Check. If no class details are changed, the class will remain associated with Grade 3 ALEKS.
For classes that are managed by the district, teachers will be unable to edit their classes. If teachers want to pursue using Grade 3 ALEKS Adventure, they will need to create a sub-class within ALEKS.
Existing Classes With Student Usage
Reveal Math Grade 3 classes created prior to September 2, 2025, in which there is student usage, will remain associated with Grade 3 ALEKS. If teachers want to pursue using Grade 3 ALEKS Adventure, they will need to create a sub-class within ALEKS.
Additional Option: Sub-Class Creation
For classes associated with Grade 3 ALEKS or Grade 3 ALEKS Adventure, teachers have the option to create a sub-class in which they can specify which version of ALEKS students will use in that sub-class.
This can be useful in these scenarios:
A teacher’s course is associated with Grade 3 ALEKS Adventure, but the teacher wishes to use Grade 3 ALEKS.
A teacher’s course is associated with Grade 3 ALEKS, but the teacher wishes to use Grade 3ALEKS Adventure.
