This article applies to Manual Rostering districts. Manual Rostering means that teachers manually redeem program content and roster their own classes.

SSO applies to districts that use an SSO portal, district website, or Learning Management System (LMS) to access McGraw Hill digital programs, and Direct Login means that teachers, students, and administrators log in at my.mheducation.com.

Using the import process to assign multiple Core Products to the same teacher/roster:

There are 2 options for assigning multiple Core Products to the same user/roster using the import process.  This scenario could arise if a single user/roster should be assigned multiple Core Products, such as a Homeroom using both Math and Reading content.

The term "Core Product" refers to products such as WondersImpact, or StudySync ®, whereas "Add-On Product" refers to supplemental materials that can accompany the Core Product, such as WonderWorksWonders English Learner, or ALEKS Embedded

Import Users/Rosters - Resources (Admins)
Import Students/Rosters - Resources (Teachers)

Option 1 – Alter the Class ID
To assign multiple Core Products to the same user/roster using one upload, you can alter the Class ID to make it unique for each Core Product. We recommend including information that makes the class easy to identify, such as the class subject area or period of the day.

For example, to assign both Reading and Math content to a Homeroom class with a Class ID of “1000”, you can include the corresponding subject name or code to the Class ID, making it “1000-READING” and “1000-MATH”.

Option 2 – Submit Separate Uploads
To avoid altering the Class ID, submit a separate upload for each Core Product. This will allow you to have the same Class ID for each class while assigning multiple products to the same roster and teacher.

Keep in mind, you will need to add the User GUID for both the teacher and students for any that have existing accounts in the system on each file. If they do not have accounts in the system, the first file you upload with those users will create their User GUID. You will then need to add that User GUID to any other uploads they are listed on.

To locate the User GUID you will want to export the Export Teachers & Students (Admins) file or the Export Students (Teachers) file, depending on your role.

Assigning Add-On Products:
If you are assigning a Core Product and an Add-On Product, each teacher and student in this class will need two separate lines on the import file.

One line should provide the Master Code for the core product, and the other line should provide the Master Code of the add-on product.
