Our Current Access Services

Access Services determine how teachers and students get access to their McGraw Hill digital content. There are 2 components that determine your Access Service: how teachers and students log in and how classes are rostered.

The two Access Services that we offer new customers:

  • Single Sign-On (SSO) and Auto-Rostering
    • This uses IMS Global OneRoster® standard
  • Direct Login and Manual Rostering

Access Services We Support

We continue to support the Access Services that were offered to customers in the past. These are no longer options for new customers or existing customers that want to change their Access Service.

  • SSO and Manual Rostering
  • Direct Login and Auto-Rostering

Why do I need to know my district’s Access Service?

Your district's Access Service determines what you do or don’t do on McGraw Hill platforms.  Technical Support articles and other resources that pertain to logging in and rostering classes are labeled with the Access Service name and icon in the top right corner so you can quickly identify which resources apply to you.

Available Access Services—for new customers or new integrations

SSO applies to districts that use an SSO portal, district website, or Learning Management System (LMS) to access McGraw Hill digital programs.
Auto-Rostering means that account creation, class setup, and roster management are automated through a process handled by your district.

Direct Login means that teachers, students, and administrators log in at my.mheducation.com. Teachers can self-register if they need an account. Teachers can then create student accounts. Administrators can also create student, teacher, and additional administrator accounts.
Manual Rostering means that teachers manually redeem program content and roster their own classes.
