Yes! If Sharpen is available for your title or course, it can be accessed directly in your Connect course or LMS, so students have a single point of login. Contact your sales representative to add Sharpen Companion to your course and provide updated ordering information to students.
I’m interested in using Sharpen Companion with Connect®. Can I assign Sharpen and monitor usage in Connect®?
Yes, inside Connect, you assign Sharpen for completion points and see which students have used Sharpen. See this video. You may deploy the assignment to your LMS so grades flow to your gradebook.

Sharpen NEVER gives away the answers to homework problems or test questions. Sharpen teaches students to learn the concepts, the right way. All content is designed for practice.

What is the cost of Sharpen?
- Sharpen: Sharpen is free today for anyone to download in the App Store, Google Play, or web at studysharpen.com. Students gain access to a limited set of free resources across the entire library of titles, in every single chapter. Instructors can use this version too.
- Sharpen Plus: After creating their free Sharpen accounts, students can choose to upgrade to Sharpen Plus on their own, gaining access to premium study content for nearly 200 titles and courses (all videos, all quizzes). Sharpen Plus offers three auto-renewing subscription lengths: 1-month, 3-months, and 12-months. Prices are subject to change, so please check the App Store and Google Play for details.
- Sharpen Companion: If instructors wish to adopt Sharpen, they can add Sharpen Companion to their course materials at a reduced price. These are one-time, non-renewing purchases that give students access to all premium content for a single title. Instructors are advised to contact their local sales representative for additional information that pertains to your institution. Sharpen Companion is available in affordable access programs. The standard cost to bundle Sharpen Companion with Connect® or ALEKS® is: $9.99 for 6 months, $14.99 for 12 months, $19.99 for 18 months, and $29.99 for 24 months. Prices are subject to change.
