Set Individual Extensions for K-12 Connect® Assignments

Instructions on how to set individual student extensions for Connect® assignments.

You can use the Student Extensions option to adjust any of the following assignment settings for any individual student:

  • Available date

  • Due date

  • Time Limit

  • Attempts

 

1. From the Section Home page, click on the Assignment tab.

From the old instructor view, this will be the default tab. 

 

From the new instructor view, the assignments will be listed on the Dashboard, or you can select the Assignments tab.

2. Click on the assignment name you want to give the extension for.

3. Click on the Assignment Option drop-down, and select manage extensions from the menu.

If it is a SmartBook assignment, the manage extensions option will be to the right of the assignment name.



4. On the extensions page, select the student(s) you want to give the extension to.



5. Under the add extension section on the right, click the edit link for the section you want to adjust for the select student(s). 


6. Click the Save button at the bottom. You will be taken back to the selected assignment student activity page.

To review any extensions that have been given, or to give additional student extensions, select manage extensions once again from the assignment options.

If any students have already been given extensions, they will now show under manage extensions.


Note: Student extensions cannot be set for group assignments or file attachment assignments. However, you may extend the assignment for all students by editing the assignment.
