The seventh edition of General Chemistry continues the tradition of presenting only the material that is essential for a one-year general chemistry course. It strikes a balance between theory and application by incorporating real-world examples; helping students visualize the three-dimensional atomic and molecular structures that are the basis of chemical activity; and developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills. About the Author
Raymond Chang
Raymond Chang received his B.Sc in chemistry from London University, and his Ph.D. in chemistry from Yale University. After doing postdoctoral research at Washington University and teaching for a year at Hunter College, he joined the Chemistry Department of Williams College. He wrote books on physical chemistry, industrial chemistry, and physical science.
Kenneth Goldsby
