ALEKS guides the student through the specific curriculum. After ALEKS assesses the student's current Knowledge State and goal, it determines which topics are ready to be learned next. Other topics may not be available because ALEKS has determined the student is not yet ready to learn them. ALEKS tries to ensure the student is only learning the topics for which readiness has been demonstrated.
