Access the Gradebook

Launch your course from the My Programs page then click Gradebook in the navigation menu.

Navigate the Gradebook

A. Enter a Start and End Date to filter down to a select date range.

B. Click the Reset button to clear the selected dates.

C. Click the Apply button to filter the gradebook to the entered dates.

D. Click the Filters button to select Student and Assignment Filters.

E. Click the Gradebook Settings button to access the Display Options and the Grading Options.

F. Click the Options button to access the Grading HistoryDownload File, and Print options.

G. Click the Go to Legend link to navigate to the Legend at the bottom of the Gradebook page.

H. Click on the Assignment name to navigate to the Assigned Assessments page for that selection.

I. Click the Student name to navigate to that student's individual gradebook.

Individual Student Gradebook

An individual student's gradebook can be accessed by clicking on their name in the Student column.

A. A student's gradebook will list each individual assessment they were assigned and their Score for each. It will also include the Due Date and the their Submission Date.

B. Click on the Assignment name to navigate to the Assigned Assessments page for that selection.

C. Filter the list of assignments by selecting options from the Categories and Filter by drop-downs.

D. Click the Clear button to clear any selected filters and the Apply button to submit the selections to filter.

E. Switch between students by clicking the back and forth arrows or selecting a student name from the drop-down.

F. Click the Print button to print/save the student's gradebook.

G. Click the Options button in the Actions column to open the assignment options menu.

H. Click Excuse Score so the assignment is not factored into a student's final grade.

I. Click Add a Note to add a Score Note for the assignment.

J. Click View Scoresheet to view each question and score for the assignment.

K. Click Give Extension to select a new submission date and time for the student.

L. Click View Results to navigate to the Assigned Assessments page.

Grading Options

The Grading Options allow you to make changes to the grading scale and grade percentages. 

To access the Grading Options, click on the Gradebook Settings button.

A. Click the pencil icon in each column and row to make changes to the Category and Weighted Percentage.

B. Click the Delete (trash can) button to remove the Category.

C. Click the Add Category button to add additional Gradebook Categories.

D. Toggle on/off the Weight Gradebook Categories (Weighted Percentage) option.

E. Click the pencil icon in each column and row to make changes to the Grade ScalePercentage Low, and/or Percentage High.

F. Click the Delete (trash can) button to remove the grading scale row.

G. Click the Add Grade button to add a new Grading Scale row.

H. Select an option from the Rounding drop-down to reorganize the rows in the gradebook.

I. Click the Save button to save any changes made.

Display Options

The Display Options allow you to adjust what is seen when in the Gradebook.

To access the Display Options, click on the Gradebook Settings button.

A. The Total Grade is checked by default. To not see the Total Grade on the Gradebook, uncheck the option.

B. Select the Show Assignments radio button to view the Individual Assignments or Category Totals.

C. Select the Show grades as radio button to view by Percentage or Points.

D. Click the Sort assignments by drop-down to select how you want to sort the grades columns.

E. The Student Grades View options are checked by default. To not allow students to see a specific option, uncheck the box.

F. Click the Save button to save any changes made.

Grading History

The Grading History lists adjustments made to the student's scores by instructors with access to this course.

To access the Grading History, click on the Options button.

Enter a Start and End Date to filter the Grading History list to a specific range.

The page will list all assignments that had a change in their score. It will list the AssignmentPrevious Score, and the Adjusted Score. It will also show the Date Adjusted and the Instructor name who made the change.

Download Gradebook File

The Download File option allows you to export the gradebook into a XLSX or CSV file.

To access the Download File option, click on the Options button.

A. All columns are selected by default. Uncheck any column options you do not want included in the file.

B. All categories are selected by default. Uncheck any categories options you do not want included in the file.

C. Select the grades radio button to show as Points or Percentages.

D. Select the radio button for the File Format to download the file as a XLSX or CSV file.

E. Click the Download button to download/save the file.

Print Gradebook

The Print option allows you to print or save the gradebook as seen in the program.

To Print the gradebook, click on the Options button.
