Single Sign-On (SSO) and Auto-Rostering
This article applies to districts that use the SSO and Auto-Rostering Access Service. SSO applies to districts that use an SSO portal, district website, or Learning Management System (LMS) to access McGraw Hill digital programs. Auto-Rostering means that account creation, class setup, and roster management are automated through a process handled by your district.
Not sure which Access Service your district uses? Click here to learn more about the four Access Services that we support.
McGraw Hill is excited to now offer an Assignment Sync and Grade Passback integration for programs hosted on our Open Learning Platform and select programs on our ConnectED platform. This allows users to sync assignments and grades seamlessly between McGraw Hill and a Learning Management System (LMS), thus removing the need to manually input information or export data from our platform.
McGraw Hill supports the IMS Global (1EdTech) integration standards. We currently support the Assignment Sync and Grade Passback portion of the IMS Global LTI® Advantage Standard functionality within Canvas, Schoology®, and Google Classroom™. We can also support additional Learning Management Systems (LMS) that follow this standard.
Note for Google Classroom: An Assignment Sync and Grade Passback integration is not required to utilize the McGraw Hill platforms existing functionality within Google Classroom. The McGraw Hill platforms existing functionality within Google Classroom (assignment sharing) will remain available with no loss of functionality. Refer to the Google Classroom Resources article for additional information on how our platform and programs interact with Google Classroom without an integration.
To be eligible for this feature, your district must use our Single Sign-On (SSO) and Auto-Rostering Access Service. If your district is already integrated and you would like to add Assignment Sync and Grade Passback, complete the McGraw Hill Integrations Intake Form.
If your district does not have SSO and Auto-Rostering, you can learn more on our Integration Services site.
The chart below outlines some of our core programs along with the functionality they support and how they interact with the Assignment Sync and Grade Passback features. View a PDF version of the chart.
**These programs encompass a variety of titles for our Math, Science, and Social Studies titles hosted on ConnectED, such as My Math, Glencoe Math, iScience, High School Sciences, Network Social Studies, etc.
*ALEKS is an adaptive program and representative of our other adaptive programs such as Redbird and RISE. Adaptive programs are not supported for use with Assignment Sync and Grade Passback.
