Q. What causes a student to be directed to a Progress Knowledge Check?
A. When a student successfully completes a topic, they are taken to the Topic Rewards Page, and the Progress Knowledge Check is activated. Leaving the Topic Rewards Page still results in them being redirected to the Progress Knowledge Check until it is completed.
Q. Do students receive a Progress Knowledge Check after every topic they successfully complete?
A. Only if they are completing the topic for the first time. When students successfully complete a topic for the first time, they are given a Progress Knowledge Check with 1-2 questions.
Q. Do students have to take the Progress Knowledge Checks? Is there a way for teachers to turn off or cancel Progress Knowledge Checks?
A. Yes, students have to take Progress Knowledge Checks. No. The teacher cannot turn off or cancel Progress Knowledge Checks.
Q. Does the teacher have the option to reactivate a specific Progress Knowledge Check or add an additional Progress Knowledge Check for students?
A. No. Students automatically receive a Progress Knowledge Check each time they successfully complete a new topic.
Q. What is the workflow when the student answers the first question on the Progress Knowledge Check incorrectly and then answers the second question correctly?
A. If the question is from a topic the student has not yet learned, then the knowledge check ends after the student answers the question, whether they answered the question correctly or incorrectly. If the topic being assessed is one the student has already learned, the student may be provided with a hint after an incorrect answer and will be allowed to retry. After the retry, they may receive a second question on the same topic if the algorithm determines further assessment is necessary.
