Creating Assignments
Activate
Add the learning objectives for the assignment in the directions to focus students reading.
Support
Insert a scaffolding note with an image or video that helps explain a complex idea.

Activate
Ask students to take two notes related to the learning objective. Encourage them to categorize their notes to drive metacognition.

Ask students to look up at least two words using the built-in dictionary to increase awareness of new vocabulary.

Grade Assignments
Reveal
Grade one short answer question in class as students are working to provide them with immediate feedback. Then give them a chance to revie their response to put that feedback promptly into action.
