National Lexile Study: Achieve3000 2022-2023

This study analyzed usage and performance data for 673,583 students across 49 states who used Achieve3000 Literacy during the 2022-23 school year. The analysis focused on Lexile growth, comparing actual growth to expected growth based on MetaMetrics' formula. The study found that, on average, students who completed one or more lessons per week with a first-try score of 75% or higher achieved more than 2.9 times their expected Lexile growth. Accelerated growth was observed across all grade levels (1-12) and racial/ethnic groups. For instance, students with the highest fidelity of usage saw an average Lexile growth of 240L, compared to the average expected growth of 83L. English learners and students receiving special education services also experienced significant accelerated growth. The study also found that the percentage of students on track for college and career readiness increased by 50% from the beginning to the end of the school year, rising from 24% to 36%.
