Grade 3 Social Studies Inquiry Journal and Research Companion bundle. The soft-cover Inquiry Journal is IMPACT’s consumable component, acting as a detective’s notebook where students are introduced to an Essential Question, collaborate through a chapter Inquiry Project, and integrate higher-order reading, writing, and thinking skills to unlock and make meaning of social studies content. In each lesson, students are directed to the hard-cover Research Companion where they will find articles, stories, maps, infographics and more as they investigate the lesson topics. Students will consider multiple perspectives and have collaborative conversations through these easy-to-implement, short-on-time readings and hands-on activities. Every lesson ends with students returning to their Inquiry Journal to reflect, take a stand, and make real-world connections of all they’ve learned.
