You can use several universal modifiers to narrow down your searches.
- Separate terms with “and” to include all results for both of those terms. A space between terms will be understood as an “and.”
- Use quotation marks to find a specific phrase verbatim.
- Use "or" to expand your results. For example, “red or blue” would yield results for red, or blue, or red and blue.
- Use "not" to exclude certain results. For example, “wagons not red” should find wagons that are colors other than red.
- Combine quotations and other modifiers to find phrases along with other terms. For example, to find applied calculus titles related to business, search "applied calculus" AND business.
- Adjust or turn off one or more filters.
- Make sure all your words are spelled correctly.
- Try different keywords.
- Try more general, less specific words.
- Try fewer keywords.
