Medisoft - How do I install Medisoft?

Learn how to install Medisoft software on your computer.

    Follow the steps below to install Medisoft on a Windows Operating System.
    1. Close all other software applications before installing Medisoft. 
    2. Determine if you are running a 32-bit version or a 64-bit version of your Windows Operating System.

      • If you are running a 32-bit version continue to Step 3
      • If you are running a 64-bit version, please view the Solution titled: How do I install Medisoft 16/17 on a Windows 64-Bit Operating System?
    3. Insert your MediSoft Installation CD-ROM into your CD Drive.
      • ​If your CD does not auto run, browse through your CD drive and open the AutoRun file.
    4. From the MediSoft Installation window, click Install MediSoft.
    5. On the Welcome window, click Next.
    6. On the MediSoft End-User license window, click the I accept the agreement option, then click Next.
    7. On the Subscription Agreement window, click the I accept the agreement option, then click Next.
    8. On the Destination Directory window click Next.
    9. On the Ready to Install window click Next to begin installation.
      • ​The MediSoft progress bar will indicate the progress of the installation.  After it has been successfully installed, you will receive an Installation Completed window.
      • Please be patient, this process may take a while. In some instances the Microsoft .NET Framework programming code will need to installed and can delay the Medisoft installation up to 15 minutes.
    10. *Important: On the Installation Completed window, uncheck the Launch MediSoft Patient Accounting Advanced checkbox.
    11. Click Finish to close the installation application.
    12. On the MediSoft Installation window, click Close.
    13. *Important: Do NOT Start the Medisoft Program before you download the Data files for your Textbook.
