Connect - What types of questions require manual grading?

Essay questions, chat questions, most short-answer, questions, and most recording questions require manual grading.  If the question has an m next to it within the assignment builder, then it requires manual grading. 

As students submit assignments that contain questions requiring manual grading, a notification will appear in the assignments to grade area (at the top of the assignment home tab).  If you click assignments to grade, it will provide a list of assignments that require manual grading. 

Note: You can also manually flag a question for manual grading using the Adjust Credit for All Students option.
