Connect - Registered in the Wrong Section (for students)

There is no way to move a student into a different Connect section, however a student can enroll into another section without having to enter another registration code or purchase access — as long as the student is registering for the same textbook by following the steps below:

Note: If you need to register from your school's Learning Management System (Blackboard, Canvas, D2L/Brightspace, Moodle), do not use the section registration link and scroll to the bottom of this article under the Related Articles section for additional registration resources.
 

1. Go to the instructor's section web address, your instructor provides this from his/her Connect Student registration sheet (see registration link format below)

2. Complete registration at the instructor's section web address

• If you want to be removed from a section, reach out to your instructor of the old/incorrect section as only the instructor can remove you.
• If you submitted any assignments in the other section with a different instructor, the grades cannot be transferred, but student (or the new instructor) can contact the other instructor to request grade details of the old/incorrect section.

Best Practices:

• When registering for a new Connect section, be sure you are not currently logged into Connect, if you are, log out and then proceed with registration for your new section.
