Description

Econometrics instruction is evolving, and so are the skills students need to take beyond the classroom.

Join Sanjiv Jaggia, Alison Kelly, and Roberto Pedace, authors of a forthcoming econometrics title, for a conversation about moving beyond method-first, "chalk-and-talk" instruction toward a question-driven, applied econometrics course.

Explore how causal reasoning, economic interpretation, data preparation, contemporary datasets, and integrated Stata and R workflows can help students connect econometric techniques to meaningful real-world questions. The presenters will also introduce Applied Econometrics and Data Analysis, a new product and McGraw Hill Connect® experience designed to develop econometric intuition, judgment, interpretation, and technical proficiency together.

Attendees will leave with practical ideas for modernizing econometrics instruction while preserving the flexibility to support different course structures, teaching styles, and student backgrounds.
