Respondus: Internal error occurret LDBApplication.mm:1390: 2.1.3.01 (64bit)
Analyze ALEKS administrator time and topic reports to understand student effort and topic engagement.
Problem:
Mac users are receiving an error: "Internal error occurret LDBApplication.mm:1390: 2.1.3.01 (64bit)" when trying to install Respondus.
Resolution:
1) Make sure you are logging on with an admin level account on the Mac.
2) Go to this folder on their Mac: /Users//Library/Application Support/Respondus LockDown Browser
The "name" will be the name you have given their computer. Once in that folder, delete any files that have the naming convention of: ldb-hc-log-session-nnnnnnnnnnnnn.dat
Empty the trash, and then try to open LockDown Browser again.
3) If that fails, you should create a second admin user on the Mac, and then try to launch LockDown Browser after logging in on the Mac as that user. To create an administrator account on macOS:
a. Go to System Preferences > User and Groups
b. Select the "+" sign and be sure to select "Administrator"
c. Enter the other fields as needed and select "Create User"
d. Log out and log back in with the new account
e. Try again to re-install LockDown Browser
4) Also, confirm that your computer meets the requirements at https://support.respondus.com/hc/en-us/articles/4409607170459-What-are-the-computer-requirements-for-installations-of-Respondus-LockDown-Browser-
