Downloading Reports in ALEKS
Class Progress Summary
This downloadable report will allow you view a student’s current pie progress and show the growth between the student’s initial knowledge check and current knowledge in the course. The report will include one page for each student in your class.
How to Find It:
1. In the CLASS tab, select a class
2. Select Reports
3. Select ALEKS Pie
4. Select Downloads
5. Select PDF next to Class Progress
Gradebook Download
The ALEKS gradebook can be downloaded in Excel Format and saved. This is only applicable if you have enabled and set up the ALEKS Gradebook.
How to Find It:
1. In the CLASS tab, select a class
2. Select Gradebook
3. Select Class Gradebook
4 . Select Download to Excel and Save.
Custom Reports
Use Custom Reports to create excel reports that contain specific data that you choose for classes at your school.
From the Reports menu, select Custom Reports. The three main steps to create a custom report are:
1. Create Template – by first creating a template, you can determine the foundation for the custom report, then schedule multiple reports to run off the template. Templates can be re-used and duplicated for your convenience.
2. Review and save – confirm and save your custom report parameters specified in the template
3. Schedule report – run one or multiple scheduled iterations of the template, modifying the date range and schools to include
When first accessing the feature, the following introduction page will appear:
Begin by clicking Create New Custom Report Template or the + New Report Template button on subsequent visits.
Step 1: Create the template by selecting data from existing ALEKS reports. Several actions can be performed on this page:
Step 2: Review data selections and save the template
Step 3: Schedule when and how often to run the report. Reports can be scheduled to run one time, or they can be scheduled to recur daily, weekly, or monthly.
Specify which classes at the school should be included in the report and if you’d like averages by class included as well:
After the report is scheduled, it will be sent to your ALEKS Message Center when ready. It may take up to 30-60 minutes depending on the size.
Note: Custom Reports are excel files and not unlimited in size. A best practice for large schools is to create or schedule multiple instances of a report using the same template, selecting different classes or teachers.
