| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| How do I manage a product which has a core product and an add-on product, such as Reading Wonders + WonderWorks or Glencoe Math + ALEKS? | Each teacher and student in this class will need two separate lines on the import file. One line should provide the Master Code for the core product, and the other line should provide the Master Code of the add-on product. |
| On my organization's Manage Products page, I see multiple different Master Codes for the same product. Which one should I use? | Use the Master Code which has the latest End Date. |
| Can I do an import for my entire district at once? | No. A separate import is required for each school in the district. |
| I have one class that uses multiple McGraw Hill core products. How do I set up the import for this type of class? | See How to Assign Multiple Core Products to a Class |
| When I export my existing teachers and students, I see duplicate accounts and students who no longer attend my school. How can I clean up these accounts? | Our K-12 Technical Support team can assist you with removing specific student accounts. Administrators can remove teacher accounts. For more information, see Manage Users. |
| How can I use this import to handle students moving between schools at the end of the school year? | See How to Move Students Between Schools |
| I see an error message on the Error File and I do not understand how to resolve it. How do I get some help? | Our K-12 Technical Support team can help resolve errors with your upload. |
| My organization is planning to set up an Auto-Rostering integration with McGraw Hill in the future. How can I use this import while I prepare for that setup? | Ensure that:
|
| I don't have access to an 'official' User ID which has been assigned by my organization. Should I make something up? | No - the User ID is important as it prevents duplication and allows users to continue working in the same accounts year-over-year. This import should only be completed by an administrator who has access to the unique user and class IDs which have been assigned by your organization. |
| How do I assign products, like Redbird and ALEKS, which have multiple resource ID options? | Include the product Master Code in the Master Code field with a colon and then the resource ID. For example: MasterCode:resourceId For assistance locating a product's resource ID, see Manage Products. |
| How do I add multiple teachers to one class or replace a teacher in an existing class? | Our ConnectED products do not support co-teaching, so if you try to add a second teacher to a ConnectED class, you will receive an error. Our Open Learning Platform products do allow co-teaching, so any teacher that is added to an existing class will be assigned to the class along with the primary teacher. The first teacher listed on the import file will become the primary teacher of the class. In most Open Learning products, primary teachers and co-teachers have the same access. An exception to this is ALEKS, where only the primary teacher can create sub-classes. The import will not replace the primary teacher of a class. If you need assistance identifying your platform, see What is my Learning Environment? |
