Connect - Changing Students Grade in Reports

Learn how instructors change student grades in Connect reports.

To edit a particular student’s assignment grade, you’ll access the Student Performance report for a particular assignment.  You can access the report by the following steps:
  1. Click the Reports tab.
  2. Click the Student performance report. (Note: You can also run the Assignment Results report and click on any of the students' scores).
  3. Begin typing the student's name.  You will see suggestions populate.  When you see the student's name (highlighted in blue), click on it.  Then, click the search button.
  4. Next to the assignment you are looking for, click on the student's score.  Their detailed results will display. 
  5. Navigate to the question, adjust their score, and then click the Award button.  Note:  You can also add comments as to why you adjusted their score; the student will be able to see these comments.  If you add comments, please remember to click the add comments button.
Note:  There is another option called adjust credit for all students and it's available next to the question.  This is helpful if you want to remove a question.  If this is the case, choose adjust credit.  Then, decide if you want to award all points or remove points from the assignment.  If you choose either of these two options, then it will update the assignment and the reports for all students.  This is a permanent change and cannot be undone.
