Customizing a copied course for the new school term

Customize a copied ALEKS course for a new school term, including dates, topics, and assignments.

Once you have copied the course you wish to use for your current class it is best that you examine various aspects of the course:

Class Start Date and End Date 
  1. Select the class from the CLASS tab
  2. Hover over Class Administration and select Class Summary
  3. Click Edit next to "Class Information and Content"
  4. Select the correct dates via the calendar buttons and save the changes
Module Start and End Dates
  1. Select the class from the CLASS tab
  2. Hover over Class Administration and select Class Summary
  3. Scroll down to Class Customization and select Edit next to "Modules Editor"
  4. Click on the Start Date or Due Date next to each Module and alter them as needed
  5. Click Continue when finished
  6. Review the changes to the Modules and click Save
Assignments - Homework, Quiz, and Test
  1. Select the class from the CLASS tab
  2. Hover over Assignments and select the Assignments link
  3. Select the assignment name (Homework, Quiz, or Test)
  4. Change the Start and Due Dates
  5. Review the other assignment settings and click Save
Assignments - Time, Topic, Pie Progress Goals 
  1. Select the class from the CLASS tab
  2. Hover over Assignments and select the Assignments link
  3. Click the (+) New Assignment button 
  4. Select the type of Goal assignment to be used
  5. Set the Name, Start and Due Dates, and other settings
  6. Save the changes
  7. Delete any closed assignments that were copied over
    1. Place a check next to the Closed assignment
    2. Select the Delete button at the top of the table
    3. Confirm the change
Financial Aid Access Code
  1. Select the class from the CLASS tab
  2. Hover over Class Administration and select Financial Aid Code
  3. Select the button Request a Financial Aid Access Code
  4. The Financial Aid Access Code will be delivered to the ALEKS Inbox
