Connect - Change Student Status within Roster

Update a student's status within the Connect course roster.

To change the status for a student, from the my courses home page, click the roster icon next to the section of your choice.  Then, click the student's name in the roster.

The information for the selected student appears. You cannot change their username/email address (only the student can change their e-mail address).

You can change the status of the student. 

  • Active is the default status, meaning there are no restrictions.
  • Inactive students cannot take assignments and can only view their grade reports.
You are returned to the section Roster page and a message appears at the top the page confirming the student roster information has been updated successfully.
 
You can also remove a student from your class using the delete this student button to the right but once this is done, you will no longer be able to pull up their grade information in your Connect reports.
