How We Approach Learning
What We Mean by Adaptive Learning
Adaptive learning describes the process in which the learning path responds to the student’s performance and adjusts to help facilitate learning in real time. With every action taken, the curriculum responds to keep the learner actively engaged in a way that is optimal for that individual student.
How We Support Districts
The knowledge we gain with consistent research is invaluable to our mission of accelerating learning through intuitive, engaging, efficient, and effective experiences—grounded in research. We support a wide range of research—including core, supplemental, and intervention—from grade K through 12.
Learning Science Solutions
Together with our 14,000+ partners, we support educators with access to digital platforms, in-time data, and content aligned to specific standards. We help educators make strategic decisions that are right for their classroom as they put forth their best effort for students every day.
Partnering with authors and educators in various fields of study ensures that we are providing the most current research, innovative technology, and personalized paths for students. Some of our 14,000+ partners include:
Student Advisor Network
The more we listen to students and parents, the better equipped we are to serve them. We are always looking for new members to participate in a variety of events and activities designed to keep our products and programs fresh and relevant.
Providing educators access to the most up-to-date skills and knowledge they need to improve outcomes in their classrooms is crucial. Our Professional Learning Environment (PLE) allows educators to control the level of their professional learning. This ensures both increased confidence and credibility in the classroom.
Digital content and platforms should enhance, not burden, the performance of educators and administrators. To ease the integration of McGraw-Hill digital content into your district's digital ecosystem, we now offer a suite of flexible services designed to ensure end-user access.
We can design the program you want, the way you want, with step-by-step support. Our skilled custom development team can build classroom text, digital solutions, and integrated program alternatives.
Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
This federal legislation, signed into law in 2015, reauthorized the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA). Among the major initiatives in ESSA are increased protections for high-need and disadvantaged students, investment into local innovations, and increased accountability and action to effect positive change in low-performing schools.
