User Provided Information - The App obtains the information you provide when you register to use one of our products and download the App.
When you register to use one of our products as a student, you generally provide us with your first name and last initial and the name of your educational institution. When you register to use one of our products as an instructor, you may also be asked to provide additional contact information, such as your work email address. You may also provide us with additional information when you contact us for help. We may use the information you provided us to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.
Automatically Collected Information - In addition, the App may collect certain information automatically, such as the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the App. See "Automatic Data Collection and Advertising" section for examples.
This App does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.
We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
We may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
If you are a student, information that you provide will be shared with the educational institution that has invited you to use this App, and with your instructor. If you do not wish to have certain personal information about you provided to your educational institution and/or your instructor, please do not use this App.
You can stop all collection of information by the App easily by uninstalling the App. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile App marketplace or network.
We will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the App and for a reasonable time thereafter. We will retain Automatically Collected information for as long as you use the App, and for a reasonable time thereafter, and thereafter may store it in aggregate. If you'd like us to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the App, please contact us at MHSE.firstname.lastname@example.org and we will respond in a reasonable time. Please note that some or all of the User Provided Data may be required in order for the App to function properly.
We do not use the App to knowingly solicit personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at MHSE.email@example.com. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our App. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
This Privacy Notice may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Notice by posting the new Privacy Notice here on this website and, if you have provided us with your email address, by informing you via email. You are advised to consult this Privacy Notice regularly for any changes.
You have been invited to use the Services by your educational institution. By using the Services, you acknowledge that your educational institution had obtained your consent, or your legal guardian's consent, to allow us to process the User Provided and Automatically Collected information as set forth in this Privacy Notice now and as amended by us. "Processing" means using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United States. If you reside outside the U.S. your information will be transferred to the U.S., and processed and stored there under U.S. privacy standards. By using the App and providing information to us, you acknowledge that your educational institution had obtained your consent, or your legal guardian's consent, to such transfer to, and processing in, the US.
