The Foreign Policy Association selected our CEO and President, David Levin, for this year’s CSR Award.
The Foreign Policy Association (FPA) promotes awareness and understanding of U.S. foreign policy and global issues. Each year the FPA holds a dinner to honor individual business leaders who demonstrate responsible internationalism and inspire others to participate in global affairs. At this year’s dinner, our CEO David Levin received the Corporate Social Responsibility Award for his commitment to active and positive corporate citizenship in the communities McGraw-Hill Education serves.
Nancy Lublin, a member of our Board of Directors and founder of DoSomething.org and Crisis Text Line, presented the award to David at this year’s ceremony:
In his acceptance speech, David notes that social responsibility is key to our mission because recognizing the needs of learners and the importance of educators is the only way the bridge the global achievement gap in education.
With a focus on improving student achievement and outcomes at the heart of our everyday work, we believe the science of learning can help unlock the full potential of all students.
