I get it, you’ve been in school for years now and you’re totally burnt out. You’re ready to be done with the studying, all-nighters and stress-filled exam weeks. However, now is not the time to throw in the towel…you are almost to the finish line! I am here to share some of my tips to stay on my A-game (literally) during these last few weeks of college when the countdown is on.
Remember: A College Education Is Truly A Gift
So many people in this world would give anything to do what you are doing. It can be easy to get caught up in the “ugh” moments when needing to study for that accounting quiz, but this simple reminder can keep you focused and grateful for every second!
Prep on Sunday Nights
While you still may be in weekend mode, taking 30 minutes to an hour on your Sunday evenings to prep can save you time and stress for the rest of the week.
Study time: Make sure to pencil in your planners additional time out of class to study and review materials. If you save it all until finals, you will regret it BIG time. Stay on top of the Recharge functions within your Connect account to refresh and test your memory. Now, when finals come you are prepared to ace them and can be excited to walk at your graduation rather than be stressed over tests!
Snack prep: You are on campus all day- of course you will get “hangry”! Apples, nuts and protein bars are all easy things to throw in your bag. Keeping your mind and body fueled during classes will totally help your last few weeks be more bearable. Make sure you are locked and loaded for the week with a few of these items.
Schedule time for work & play: So much work, yet so little time. It can be easy to feel overwhelmed with all there is to do in these final moments. Overloading your schedule with class, study time and group projects will burn you out. Make sure to plan a night to grab pizza with friends to completely unwind. You will come back to school feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day ahead.
Embrace these final days of your college experience. I know we all want to land that job immediately after graduation, but don’t let it consume your every thought. Be sure to enjoy your last few weeks sleeping in once or twice a week, studying with friends and exploring your beautiful college campuses. Stay present in the moment because it will be gone before you know it!
