You asked for it. We listened. You got it! As we prepared the 12th edition of Understanding Business, we asked you how we could make the text and package even better for you and your students to continue to live up to the Gold Standard mark. Thank you for letting us know what worked for you, so we can maintain it; and for letting us know what didn't work as well, so we could revise it. We hope you enjoy the beautiful new design and the new features of the 12th edition of Understanding Business. If you have any comments, please let us hear from you at nickels@mheducation.com. Let's face it: Our students need to get a job when they graduate. At the end of each chapter we've added a new section called Career Exploration that offers a few careers students may want to consider learning more about. • Offer more tools for an interactive class. Many instructors see great success with SmartBook, giving them more time to engage with students vs. lecturing. We created PowerPoints that include more discussion and polling questions that link to specific learning objectives. The instructor's manual provides additional Icebreaker exercises, mini-cases, and lecture outlines. The From the News to the Classroom site is updated a couple of times a week to help you keep things fresh in your course. In Connect, we've added 10 new video clips and mini-simulations. • Keep the text current. Here's what you asked for:
